Mon Réseau Plus becomes the Réseau des massothérapeutes professionnels du Québec

In order to better represent its members and to serve as a point of reference for the citizens of Quebec, the Professional Association of Specialized Massage Therapists of Quebec has made some branding changes in honour of its 10-year anniversary. One of these changes is the simplification of the name, which is now the Réseau des massothérapeutes professionnels du Québec, as well as a new visual identity.

This change has brought about some confusion with its former name, however it aims to strengthen the brand to make it clearer and impactful. The nature of our activities will remain exactly the same, as well as our mission, values and vision.

 

Why a change in branding?

  • Clear up some confusion about our name and mission.
  • Simplify our name, which was long and difficult to remember.
  • Strengthen the brand to make it clearer and impactful.
  • Make our name stand out in order to effectively play our role as a leader in the profession.

Insurance receipts

Since September 18, 2018, we have only distributed receipt booklets in the colours of the Réseau des massothérapeutes professionnels du Québec. Members have until December 31, 2018 to use their Mon Réseau Plus receipts. As of January 2019, all members will only be allowed to submit new receipts. This change will have no impact on the claims made by customers since they will benefit from the usual 24-month period to make their claims, even if the receipt bears the Mon Réseau Plus logo.

Free exchange of your old booklets

Starting on September 18, the date of the official launch, members have three months to exchange their unopened Mon Réseau Plus receipts for receipts from the Réseau des massothérapeutes professionnels du Québec. The exchange can be done at no charge at one of our points of sale located throughout the province.

Flexible transition period

Although we recommend that you make the transition as soon as possible, you have the option of using the old Mon Réseau Plus receipts until December 31, 2018. This period may therefore allow you to use a booklet you have already started, make a trip to one of our points of sale, or to place an order with the Association. If, however, you have receipt booklets to exchange and cannot visit one of our outlets, we invite you to contact us at 1 800 461-1312 ext. 1423.

Use of the logo

We ask members to stop using the former logo as soon as possible. However, we are aware that this is an issue for some people and it is important for us that members benefit from a transition period to facilitate the implementation of the new brand. Members will be asked to follow the following three guidelines:

  • All new documents bearing our logo must be produced using the new logo;
  • Printed documents and clothing with the old logo can be used for a period of 24 months;
  • The old logos used online must be replaced before the end of 2018.

The new logo is available as a download from the member area on our website.

Insurance companies

In recent months, we have contacted insurers several times to ensure that the information for the branding change was well understood. Moreover, since this change constitutes a branding change and not the creation of a new association, there is no reason why this should cause difficulties in relation to complaints made by customers. If you encounter any difficulties with this change, please contact us directly so that we can quickly correct the situation.

Member Services

The Association’s services will continue to be provided and therefore not disrupt our members. You can even have your new business cards produced now with the Réseau’s new logo. The flagship programs and services offered to massage therapists such as training grants, continuing education activities, online and other record and receipt services will not be affected by this change in branding.
