Proceedings

First, the bamboo sticks are heated and oiled. Thereafter, the massage therapist presses the bamboo stick on the body and applies sliding, pivoting or rolling motions according to muscular tensions. During the massage, sticks of different lengths are used, their diameter and length varying according to the area of the body that is massaged.

Contraindications

People with cardiovascular or blood circulation problems such as phlebitis or varicose veins, as well as people with kidney, hypertension or diabetes issues should consult a physician before receiving this care. Bamboo massage also is not recommended in case of fever or pregnancy.
