Telus Health eClaims Service

Optimize your clients claim process

eClaims, the online solution for direct billing to insurers.

The Réseau des massothérapeutes professionnels du Québec has reached an agreement with TELUS Health to optimize the claim process for its members clients. This agreement allows eligible members to access the eClaims platform, which is already quite popular among massage therapists in other Canadian provinces. The Réseau is pleased to have been selected by the participating insurers to launch this service for massage therapists in Quebec.

Service eRéclamations de TELUS Santé

How does it work?

eClaims allows health professionals to send out their clients’ claim request and reduce costs they pay out of their own, therefore reducing their credit card fees when using credit card payment.

This web solution is entirely secure and fully integrated and is designed to optimize the submission request process. This platform is equipped with tools that allow both the registration of health professionals and the submission of claims, as well as instant confirmation of the insurer’s response. For more convenience, this solution establishes a direct link between your clients and their insurer.

Claim and receive with eClaims

  • On line registration on the TELUS Health website.
  • Online claims application or predetermination requests to multiple insurers. *
  • Insurer’s instant confirmation of payments. *
  • Benefit termination option to receive reimbursement directly from the insurer. *
  • Clients only need to pay amounts that are not covered by their insurance plan. *
  • Search tools to view past transactions.
  • User’s guide, free customized training, tip sheet, forms and other related documents available online.
  • Compliant with strict privacy and security guidelines and recommended by applicable federal and provincial regulations.
  • Developed in compliance with Canada Health Infoway HL/7 messaging standards.

* Some tools and features as well as their benefits are unique to eClaims and may not be offered by all insurers.

Eligibility Criteria

Participating insurers require from massage therapists to meet the following criteria in order to register for the service:

  • Be a member of the Réseau;
  • Have a minimum of 1,000 hours of training recognized by the Réseau;
  • Complete 25 hours of continuing education per 3-year period*.

*The three-year periods are defined as follows:

  • January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023
  • January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026
  • January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2029
  • And so on

**To be eligible, the massage therapist must comply with continuing education, with the exception of the first period (January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023) where a buffer period is granted to accommodate those who do not have the 25 hours of continuing education in the prior period (i.e., prior to January 1, 2021).

Here are two examples:
Massage Therapist A has more than 25 hours of continuing education between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2023. Therefore, he is eligible for TELUS Health’s eClaims service for the current and subsequent periods.

Massage Therapist B has completed 10 hours of continuing education between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2023. He is therefore eligible for TELUS Health eClaims for the current period, but will NOT be eligible for the second period.

eClaims participating Insurers for members of the Réseau

To date, six insurers in Quebec’s market have decided to develop the online claim application service with the massage therapists who are members of the Réseau. They are identified by the attached logos and other major insurers should join the group in the near future. Our goal is to develop this service, so that a large majority of insured people in Quebec can eventually benefit from it.
