Netiquette

The presence of the Réseau des massothérapeutes professionnels du Québec on social media and other digital platforms reserved for discussion is intended to create a space for discussion about massage therapy and the services offered by the association. Internet users interacting on another topic will be directed to the appropriate resource.

This netiquette defines, among other things, the rules for moderating comments and interventions received from Internet users as well as the requirements for respecting people’s privacy. The Réseau is committed to respecting this netiquette and asks Internet users to do the same. The Réseau reserves the right to withdraw interventions that go against this netiquette, or based on what the Communications Department considers appropriate.

MODERATION

The Réseau’s digital platforms are managed by the Communications Department. Moderation is generally done during office hours, Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (excluding legal holidays).

Courtesy is required in all comments and interventions. All publications are read and taken into consideration. However, the Réseau reserves the right to withdraw or not to follow up on any comment that:

WRITING MESSAGES

RESPECT

In order to preserve constructive exchanges, the Réseau will remove or block any user if their interventions are found to be inappropriate or constitute harassment. In addition, you are encouraged to remain respectful in your comments and discussions.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

By publishing content on the Réseau’s digital platforms, Internet users grant the Réseau the free and unlimited right to use and distribute this content. Also, Internet users understand that their comments or interventions on web platforms are published on the web for an indefinite period and are indexed by web search engines.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONTENT

The fact that the association follows certain users or pages does not mean that it endorses them. The Réseau follows the accounts it deems relevant to its mission.

In addition, if information turns out to be incorrect, the association is committed to correcting it or removing it as soon as possible and to inform users of the situation.

Finally, the Réseau reserves the right to modify netiquette at any time, without notice.

The Réseau’s digital platforms are not the place to make complaints or requests. Those, as well as your questions and comments can be sent by email at info@rmpq.ca or by calling us at 1-800-461-1312. Please note that the association will not respond to media requests made through social media.
