Skills Development Fund

The Réseau offers its members a Skills Development Fund. This financial support program aims to support our members in their professional development by promoting access to continuing education. Thanks to this financial support, members can obtain all the tools they need to improve their services. Among other things, these grants allow members to specialize and develop skills in the field of massage therapy.

Every year, the Réseau allots a substantial budget set by the Board of Directors to its grant program. For the current year, the entire amount allocated to the program has already been spent or promised to members. However, you can register on our waiting list. This way, even though we cannot guarantee you the grant, you will still be able to benefit from it if the number of withdrawals from people with accepted applications allows us to reach your application.

The Skills Development Fund allows members who wish to enroll in one of the training options to continue to receive a grant. This financial support is equivalent to 50% of the pre-tax price of the training, up to a maximum of $200. The member is limited to a single grant application per year. Once the eligibility period begins on May 1st of each year, members can apply for a grant for training that takes place at any time before February 28th of the following year.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to obtain a grant from the Réseau, you must:

  • Be a regular member of the Réseau;
  • Choose a technique of less than 150 hours in continuing education that is recognized by the Réseau;
  • Apply for a grant before training;
  • Attend the chosen training in an academic institution recognized and verified by the Réseau des massothérapeutes professionnels du Québec;
  • Pass the training.
  • Once you obtain a grant, you will receive the reimbursement form by email. Reimbursement claims must be submitted a maximum of 60 days following the completion of the training, and by February 28th, 2024.

Please note that refunds are issued by cheque within 45 days of receipt of your refund request.

Subvention granted

  • For new members as well as members who become regular members during the year, we reimburse 50% of the price of the training before taxes up to the amount of your annual fees paid as a regular member.
  • For regular members who have paid a full year’s fees and for ambassador members, we will reimburse 50% of the price of the training before taxes up to a maximum of $200.
  • Parent, Support and Non-Member members are not eligible to a grant;
  • Members are limited to one grant per year.

Steps to follow depending on your training date

If your training begins in March or April, you must complete the grant application between May 1 and May 15, 2023. As of May 16, 2023, grant applications for training in March or April will be automatically rejected.

If your training begins between May 1, 2023 and February 28, 2024, you must complete the grant application before the first day of training. For online training, the first day of training is the date you plan to begin your studies, not the date of registration.

If your training begins in one fiscal year and ends in another, the grant application will be automatically rejected. We cannot award a grant for training that begins before February 28 and ends after March 1.
